The Numbers People Live - Episode 4 - How to Survive the 6 Stage Interview

Six interviews for one role. Welcome to 2026.

I've seen senior finance candidates go through this exact process:

- Recruiter screen

- HR interview

- Hiring Manager interview

- Peer panel interview

- Executive interview

- Final culture interview

One job. Six rounds.

Here's what nobody tells you: The person who walks into Interview 1 is not the same person who walks into Interview 6. By round four or five, energy is gone, the stories have started to blur, and the version of themselves they're presenting isn't their best. It's just their most tired. At that point, the process isn't testing capability anymore. It's testing endurance.

This Friday on The Numbers People Live, I'm breaking it all down:

✅ Why strong candidates lose long processes

✅ What actually happens to candidates after Round 3

✅ The mistakes I see senior finance professionals make

✅ The one question you should ask at the end of every single interview

✅ How to stay sharp from the first conversation to the final decision

I've spent 20+ years recruiting senior finance professionals. I've never seen processes this long, or this unforgiving.
