Senior Finance Manager - Civil Construction

This business is at a genuine inflection point. Strong balance sheet. Serious project pipeline. Ambitious growth plans. What it does not yet have is a clear commercial owner of finance.

This is a senior, hands-on finance leadership role partnering directly with the CEO and running the day-to-day finance function for a growing civil construction business.

What you will be responsible for

• Monthly management reporting and reforecasts
• Board and parent company reporting

• Statutory compliance, audit and tax
• Supporting tenders with commercial and financial input
• Improving systems, processes and financial controls
• Leading, mentoring and uplifting the finance team

This is a hands on leader role. You will be across the detail while also contributing commercially at an executive level.

• Strong control of cash and working capital
• Finance actively supporting project and tender decisions
• A capable, well-run finance team

The type of person this suits

• Senior Finance Manager / Financial Controller level in construction, civil, engineering or contracting
• Strong in project accounting, revenue recognition and cash flow
• Comfortable being hands-on in a mid-size business
• Commercial, practical and able to deal with non-finance stakeholders

Civil Construction experience is essential.
