If you're going to take a 12 month contract, it should add something meaningful to your CV.
This one will.
You'll join the corporate finance team of one of Australia's largest and most recognisable multinational organisations, working at Group level across a complex portfolio of businesses and brands.
It's an opportunity to step into a highly visible financial reporting role, work with some seriously talented finance people and gain exposure that could genuinely strengthen where your career goes next.
What's in it for you?
A serious name on your CV.
Spend 12 months inside a large, complex multinational environment, gaining experience that will be highly regarded by future employers.
International reporting exposure.
You'll work across both US GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements, including reporting into a US based head office. If you want to deepen your technical credentials, there's plenty here to get your teeth into.
Exposure beyond just reporting.
You'll interact with senior stakeholders across FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Technology and Commercial Finance, giving you a much broader view of how a major corporate finance function operates.
Complexity that will challenge you.
Group consolidations, quarterly and year end reporting, technical accounting, controls, audit and corporate transactions. This isn't a role where you'll be watching the clock.
Leadership without having to start from scratch.
You'll help lead an established Group Financial Reporting team, working alongside high calibre finance professionals and helping develop the people around you.
Visibility with senior stakeholders.
The role operates at the centre of the Group finance function, giving you exposure to senior finance leaders and stakeholders across the organisation.
Flexibility.
You'll have a hybrid working environment, including two days working from home.
What will make you successful?
You'll probably come from a Big 4 or strong technical accounting background and be CA qualified, with experience in financial reporting and consolidations within a large or complex organisation.
Strong US GAAP or IFRS experience is important. Experience across both would obviously be a big advantage.
You'll also need to be comfortable leading people, dealing with senior stakeholders and translating technical accounting issues into something the broader business can actually understand.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys the technical side of accounting but doesn't want to disappear into a spreadsheet for 12 months.
Why consider a 12 month contract right now?
Because the right contract can give you more than another permanent role.
It can expose you to a bigger organisation, more complex reporting, international stakeholders and people you wouldn't ordinarily get the opportunity to work with.
Twelve months from now, you should be able to look back and say the experience made your CV stronger.
If that sounds like the kind of move you're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
