FP&A Manager
- 31 Mar 2026
- Sydney
- Permanent / Full Time
This is one of those FP&A roles that people say they want, but rarely get.
You are not sitting at the end of the month producing reports.
You are in the middle of the business, helping senior leaders understand what is really going on and what they should do next.
This is a large, complex and highly visible organisation that operates at scale and moves quickly. It creates an environment where finance is expected to add value, not just report on it.
You will be working across the entire business, acting as the link between multiple business partnering teams and executive leadership. The role is focused on turning performance into a clear story that drives decision making at the highest level.
You will be:
- Building the narrative behind results, not just explaining variances
- Influencing how performance is communicated to the ELT and global head office
- Advising on cost targets, investment decisions and profitability
- Pulling together insights across multiple business units to show the bigger picture
- Driving improvements in reporting, systems and overall finance capability
There is real breadth here.
You will be working closely with the CFO, Finance Directors and global FP&A teams, which gives you strong exposure and a clear pathway into more senior roles over time.
You will also step into leadership, managing a small team and working across both local and offshore resources.
The environment is fast moving, collaborative and constantly evolving, which suits someone who enjoys variety and being close to decision making rather than removed from it.
What this does for you
- Moves you into a genuinely strategic FP&A role
- Gives you direct exposure to executive and global stakeholders
- Builds leadership experience with team management responsibility
- Strengthens your commercial credibility across a large business
- Positions you for your next step into Head of FP&A or Finance Director
About you
You are CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with solid FP&A or commercial finance experience.
You are comfortable working with senior stakeholders and can challenge thinking where needed.
You are able to take complex information and turn it into something clear and actionable.
Most importantly, you want a role where you are involved in decisions, not just reporting on them.
If you are starting to think about your next move and want something with visibility, impact and progression, it is worth a conversation.
